The TP-Link Gigabit SFP Multi-mode LC Fiber Transceiver (850 nm) provides 1000 Mbit/s wired optical connectivity for compatible network switches. This module uses a standard mini-GBIC form factor to connect directly to host ports on enterprise hardware. By using fiber cabling to transmit data, it avoids the distance limitations of copper Ethernet. Administrators can use these units to bridge equipment racks or link buildings within a local area network.

The transceiver has a compact design, measuring 55.4 mm by 13.7 mm by 12.9 mm, allowing it to fit into standard switch receptacles without obstructing adjacent ports.
