The TP-Link Gigabit SFP Multi-mode LC Fiber Transceiver (850 nm) provides 1000 Mbit/s wired optical connectivity for compatible network switches. This module uses a standard mini-GBIC form factor to connect directly to host ports on enterprise hardware. By using fiber cabling to transmit data, it avoids the distance limitations of copper Ethernet.
