The StarTech AS445C-POE-INJECTOR 8-port multi-gigabit PoE++ injector (5/2.5G Ethernet, NBASE-T) adds power to wired Ethernet links. This adapter supplies power and data simultaneously to compatible networking equipment, such as IP cameras and wireless access points, using standard RJ45 connectors. The unit supports multi-gigabit speeds with a maximum data transfer rate of 5000 Mbit/s and is designed exclusively for wired networks.
Housed in a black metal casing, the hardware is suitable for industrial or desktop environments. The 278g chassis can be wall-mounted or attached to a DIN rail for tidy cable management. A DC-in jack provides power, which is then distributed to connected devices. The adapter maintains stable signal integrity over cable runs of up to 100 metres. Automatic MDI/MDI-X configuration removes the need for crossover cables during setup.
