The StarTech PR22GIP-NETWORK-CARD 2-Port 2.5Gbps PoE+ PCIe Network Interface Card uses the Intel I225-V chipset to add two 2500 Mbit/s RJ-45 ports to desktop PCs and servers. The card also functions as a PoE+ power source, delivering 48 V to compatible devices over Ethernet. This dual-port design allows systems to be upgraded to multi-gigabit speeds using existing cable infrastructure.
The card requires a compatible PCIe slot. Built-in LED indicators show link status and network activity. It uses IEEE-compliant auto-negotiation to establish connection parameters when a cable is connected. The adapter is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, and Linux distributions.
