The Gardena PowerMax 1800/42 is a corded electric push mower with a 420 mm cutting width. As it runs on mains power, it requires no battery or fuel maintenance. The mower is suitable for lawns up to 800 square metres, which users can use as a guide to ensure it is appropriate for their garden size.

The cutting height can be set to one of five positions, ranging from 20 mm to 60 mm, to accommodate different grass lengths throughout the season. Clippings are collected in a 45-litre box. As this model does not have a mulching function, the box must be emptied manually. Weighing 14.3 kg, the unit is manoeuvrable on uneven turf and features an adjustable ErgoTec Plus handle, which folds flat to save space when stored.
