The GARDENA Collision Avoidance Sensor for smart SILENO uses radar to detect objects in the path of your robotic mower. Compatible with the smart SILENO pro, smart SILENO max, and smart SILENO free series, it scans the area in front of the mower to identify obstacles before contact occurs. By spotting items early, the sensor enables the machine to adjust its route, helping to prevent impact damage to both the mower and garden objects.
Weighing 500 g, the sensor is light enough that it does not affect the mower's balance or handling. The weatherproof construction allows the unit to remain mounted during rain and other outdoor conditions. Power is drawn directly from the mower’s battery, meaning no external cables or separate charging are required. Note that this is a radar sensor and does not replace a boundary wire. The unit mounts easily to the existing mower frame and is particularly useful for gardens with temporary obstacles or scattered items.
