The Makita DC40RA is a mains-powered rapid charger for Makita 40V Max XGT lithium-ion batteries. It recharges compatible XGT battery packs in approximately 22 to 50 minutes, depending on the installed battery capacity. This unit is designed for tradespeople and contractors who need to recharge batteries quickly between jobs. The charger draws power from a standard mains supply to deliver rapid charging cycles. It is intended solely for use with compatible Makita lithium-ion power tool batteries.

The black standalone housing measures 210 mm wide, 156 mm deep, and 84 mm tall, making it compact enough for bench or shelf placement. With the optional Makita ADP10 adapter, the DC40RA also charges compatible Makita LXT lithium-ion batteries, extending support across two tool platforms.
