Bosch POF 1400 ACE Vertical Milling Machine

The Bosch POF 1400 ACE is a mains-powered plunge router for shaping wood, not a sanding machine. Its 1,450 W input motor runs between 11,000 and 28,000 RPM, covering both detailed cuts and broader material removal. The speed can be preselected and adjusted to suit the fitted bit, material and task. Bosch Constant Electronic is designed to hold the selected speed under load. The plunge format makes it suitable for grooves, rebates, recesses, edge profiles, joinery and decorative shaping.

The dust-extraction port takes the supplied adapter for connection to a vacuum, helping to control debris around the cut. A 55 mm plunge stroke and fine depth adjustment support controlled work at a set cutting depth. Soft-grip handles aid two-handed control, and a built-in light illuminates the area around the router bit. The spindle lock simplifies bit changes, while the SDS system accepts compatible copying rings without the need for tools. The kit includes an 8 mm straight bit, a parallel guide, a centring pin, an open-ended spanner and a plastic carrying case.
