The BOSCH UniversalOrbit 18V-20 Cordless Random Orbit Sander with 2.5 Ah Battery is a battery-powered random orbit sander for controlled work on flat and curved surfaces. It is intended for sanding and smoothing wood, plaster, paint, varnish and polished finishes. The 18 V cordless format suits furniture refinishing, floor preparation, renovation and general home workshop jobs where mains access is inconvenient. Its oscillation rate is adjustable from 10,000 to 23,000 OPM, providing control over the sanding pace. Lower settings allow more measured surface preparation, while the upper rate supports faster material removal. Speed preselection lets the output be matched to the material and task rather than operating at one fixed rate.

Dust is handled through an integrated extraction connection and micro-filter box, helping to contain debris at the tool. The handheld random orbit sander weighs 1 kg, which limits the load during longer sanding sessions. A 2.5 Ah battery is supplied for cordless operation. The package also contains a battery charger, so no separate charger is required before use. One sanding sheet is included for initial setup.
