The GARDENA EnergyCut 2-in-1 Hedge Shears are designed for shaping hedges and shrubs. Their 230 mm blades combine a wavy profile with serrated edges to hold plant material securely while cutting. This design supports controlled cutting through leafy growth and individual twigs. As manual shears, they let the user control both the cutting pace and the force applied.

A selectable mechanism provides two settings for different cutting tasks. The fast-cutting setting is intended for repeated cuts through thinner twigs, while the higher-power setting handles thicker branches. The settings can be switched by pressing a button, without changing tools. The higher-power setting provides up to 2.5 times more cutting force when needed.

ErgoTec ergonomic handles support a defined hand position during repeated opening and closing. Soft buffers are designed to reduce strain on the hands and joints during longer trimming sessions. The two cutting modes make the shears suitable for maintaining hedge surfaces and shrubs with varied growth, removing the need for separate tools for quick shaping and tougher branch-cutting tasks.
