Makita DCO181Z 18 V LXT Brushless Cordless Rotary Cutter, Body Only

The Makita DCO181Z 18 V LXT Cordless Rotary Cutter, Body Only is intended for cutting holes, openings and patterns in drywall and gypsum board. Its brushless motor reaches a no-load speed of 32,000 rpm for rapid material removal. Power comes from Makita's 18 V LXT lithium-ion battery platform. At 1.4 kg without a battery, the cutter is suited to overhead installation work where tool weight affects handling. Its 311 mm body provides a compact form for working around fitted panels and confined areas.

A built-in LED illuminates the cutting area when markings or edges are difficult to see. The dust extraction port connects the cutter to a compatible extraction system. Makita AWS connectivity also supports wireless activation of compatible dust extractors. XPT protection is designed to limit dust and moisture ingress in demanding work environments. Supplied as a body-only tool, it does not include an 18 V LXT battery or charger.
