The MERCUSYS AC12G is an AC1200 class dual-band wireless router operating on the 802.11ac standard. This device utilizes both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands to provide a combined maximum throughput of 1200 Mbit/s. The 5 GHz band delivers data transfer rates up to 867 Mbit/s, intended for bandwidth-intensive tasks such as high-definition streaming or competitive gaming. The 2.4 GHz band handles general web browsing and legacy device connections at speeds up to 300 Mbit/s.

Wired connectivity is managed through four Gigabit Ethernet ports, facilitating high-speed physical links to devices like desktop computers or network storage units. The router incorporates four external antennas, designed to distribute the signal and optimize coverage across the operational area. Internal architecture includes integrated processor functions and support for MIMO technology to maintain responsiveness across multiple concurrent device connections. Essential network management features include Quality of Service (QoS) and DHCP functionality.

Network security is maintained via WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK encryption standards, and the integrated firewall supports IP and MAC Address Binding for access control.
