Its laser light source is rated for up to 20,000 hours in standard mode and 30,000 hours in economy mode, reducing the need for frequent maintenance.

For installation flexibility, the EB-L690U is equipped with several image adjustment features. It includes a 1.6x manual zoom, a throw ratio of 1.35–2.2:1, and both horizontal and vertical lens shift. These features allow the projector to be positioned off-center without distorting the image geometry. Keystone correction of ±30 degrees is available on both horizontal and vertical axes for further alignment.
