Garmin Edge 1040 Solar GPS Cycling Computer

Garmin Edge 1040 Solar GPS Cycling Computer is a bike computer for cycling navigation, ride tracking and training analysis. Its solar-assisted rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 45 hours of operation, while integrated Power Glass charging can extend runtime during daylight riding. Multi-band GNSS is designed to maintain positioning in challenging environments. Garmin cycling maps and turn-by-turn guidance cover road, gravel and mountain-bike use. The IPX7 rating provides defined water resistance for riding in wet conditions.

The 133 g unit measures 117.6 × 59.3 × 20 mm and has a black finish. Its 3.5-inch colour touchscreen presents cycling metrics, route guidance and performance information in one view. A backlight supports screen viewing as ambient light changes. The computer works with compatible Garmin cycling sensors and accessories for a broader training setup. Physical operation includes an on/off switch, while the touchscreen handles displayed controls and data. Ride data can also be viewed on a smartphone.
