The MSI MAG FORGE 100R is a mid-tower chassis designed to support ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. Its construction features a 4 mm tempered glass side panel, which provides a full view of internal components. The case measures 210 x 499 x 421 mm, accommodating a range of build configurations while maintaining a standard footprint. For connectivity, the front I/O panel is equipped with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a combination audio port for direct access to peripherals.

This case prioritizes thermal management with a flexible cooling layout. It comes with three pre-installed 120 mm fans: two addressable RGB fans at the front for intake and one standard fan at the rear for exhaust. The system can be expanded to house up to three 120 mm fans in the front and two 120 mm fans at the top. For liquid cooling solutions, the chassis supports radiators up to 240 mm in both the front and top positions, in addition to a 120 mm radiator at the rear.

Internal component compatibility includes support for graphics cards up to 330 mm in length and CPU coolers up to 160 mm in height. The design accommodates standard ATX power supplies with a maximum length of 200 mm. Storage options consist of two 3.5-inch drive bays, which can also be used for 2.5-inch drives, alongside three dedicated mounting points for 2.5-inch SSDs. An integrated RGB controller allows for direct control over the front fans' lighting effects.
