The Keychron K1 Version 6 is an 80% tenkeyless mechanical keyboard built with an ultra-slim, low-profile chassis designed for portability. It is equipped with Keychron's low-profile mechanical switches, which feature a 1.5 mm actuation point and a total travel distance of 2 mm. The construction combines an aluminium frame for structural integrity with ABS keycaps. Internally, acoustic foam is used to dampen keystroke sound and provide a more consistent typing feel. The board has an adjustable height to support varied typing angles.

The keyboard offers dual-mode connectivity through Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless use with multiple devices or a detachable USB-C cable for a wired connection. In wired mode, it supports a polling rate of 1000 Hz and N-key rollover for precise input registration. Full programmability is available via QMK firmware, allowing users to remap keys and create macros using the Keychron Launcher Web Configurator. The RGB backlighting is individually addressable for each key, and the keyboard is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux.
