The Keychron K8 Version 2 is a wireless mechanical keyboard built with a compact, tenkeyless (TKL) layout. It is equipped with Keychron Super Red mechanical switches and features hot-swappable sockets, allowing for switch replacement without soldering. The keyboard registers inputs with a 1000 Hz polling rate and N-key rollover to ensure all keystrokes are recorded accurately during use. Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.2 for a wireless connection or a detachable USB-C cable for a wired mode.

This model is constructed with an aluminum frame and durable double-shot PBT keycaps that have a Cherry profile. Full customization is supported through QMK and VIA compatibility, enabling key remapping, macro programming, and profile management stored on its 256 KB of onboard memory. The per-key RGB backlighting is adjustable and can be configured to user preference. It is designed to work with Windows, macOS, and Linux and supports multi-device pairing for switching between systems.
