The Keychron Q1 MAX is a mechanical keyboard with a 75% compact layout, constructed with a full aluminum frame in a Carbon Black finish. This build provides a stable platform for typing and gaming. It utilizes Gateron Jupiter Banana switches, a mechanical switch type that delivers a distinct tactile response with a 1.5 mm actuation point and a total travel of 3.2 mm. The keyboard is fitted with double-shot PBT keycaps in an OSA profile, which are designed to resist wear from long-term use.

Connectivity options include a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver for low-latency performance, Bluetooth 5.1 for multi-device pairing, and a wired USB-C connection. In both 2.4 GHz and wired modes, the keyboard operates at a 1000 Hz polling rate. It is fully compatible with QMK and VIA software, allowing for complete key remapping, macro creation, and profile adjustments saved to its 32 KB of onboard memory. The board also features south-facing, per-key RGB backlighting and a programmable control knob.
