The Ubiquiti UniFi Access G2 Reader (UA-G2) is a wired door access controller designed for business environments. It connects via a 10/100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet link, ensuring a stable connection to the access control system. The reader is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE), requiring 48 V. This removes the need for a separate DC adapter, as both data and power are delivered through the same cable. The device consumes 5 W under typical conditions, peaking at 6 W during use.

The compact unit features an enclosure made of glass and polycarbonate. Its weatherproof design makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor installation. The reader is designed for in-wall mounting, and a compatible gang box is included for a flush finish. A built-in speaker provides audible feedback, and an integrated R/G/B/W LED array indicates the access status.
