The TP-Link Omada ES208GP is an 8-port Gigabit Easy Managed PoE+ switch that connects and powers network endpoints via Ethernet cables. It features eight RJ-45 ports, each with a data transfer rate of 1 Gbit/s. With a 16 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 11.904 Mpps forwarding rate, the switch manages simultaneous traffic across all ports, which support both data and power delivery for devices such as wireless access points and surveillance cameras.
The unit is housed in a 158 × 100.7 × 25.4 mm black metal chassis and supports both DIN rail and rack mounting. Its total Power over Ethernet (PoE) budget is 64 W, with up to 30 W available per port. Configuration is managed through a local web interface or integrated into an Omada cloud-managed setup for centralized control. The switch supports Layer 2 features including Quality of Service (QoS) with WRR queue scheduling and IGMP snooping. Network traffic can be segmented using up to 4,000 VLANs, including MTU, port-based, and tagged configurations.
