The be quiet! PURE ROCK 3 LX is an air cooling solution engineered to manage thermal loads up to 190 W TDP. Heat transfer relies on a combination of a copper base plate and four 6 mm diameter copper heat pipes that extend into an array of aluminum cooling fins. This configuration is designed to provide stable thermal dissipation, suitable for handling sustained high-performance loads from modern processors.

A single 120 mm fan, utilizing a rifle bearing system, is integrated to move air across the fin stack. The fan speed is controllable via PWM up to 2000 RPM, achieving a maximum measured noise level of 31.2 dB. The fan also features ARGB illumination, which is managed separately via a compatible motherboard connector. The cooler measures 154 mm in height, allowing for integration into various mid-tower PC cases.

Installation is managed via an included mounting system that supports current mainstream processor sockets. The compatible sockets include Intel LGA 1851, LGA 1700, LGA 1200, and AMD Socket AM5 and AM4 platforms. The design maintains compatibility with standard RAM and VRM configurations around the socket area.
