The TP-Link Omada EAP720 is a dual-band access point using the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard for high-density environments. The device operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with data transfer rates of up to 688 Mbit/s and 2882 Mbit/s respectively. Its maximum combined wireless speed is 3600 Mbit/s, covering an area of approximately 140 m². MU-MIMO and beamforming technology manage signal distribution for up to 250 concurrent devices. The unit is designed for ceiling or wall mounting to optimise signal coverage in commercial settings.

Wired connectivity is provided by a single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port supporting 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE). Alternatively, the unit can be powered by a 12V DC adapter. Management is handled via the Omada SDN platform or a web interface, allowing for control over VLAN tagging and bandwidth allocation. Security features include WPA3-Enterprise, WPA3-Personal, and various EAP authentication methods. The internal antennas are housed in a white chassis measuring 160 mm in width and 36.7 mm in height.
