The TP-LINK Tapo C216 Indoor 2K Pan/Tilt Security Wi-Fi Camera records and streams footage at 3 MP resolution (2304 x 1296 pixels) at 30 frames per second. Motorised pan and tilt allow for remote lens adjustment to cover different areas of a room. For low-light conditions, the camera uses an 850 nm infrared system, providing standard or colour night vision at a range of up to 12 metres. The unit connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or wired Fast Ethernet and is designed for indoor use.

Although intended for indoor environments, the camera has an IP65 rating and operates in temperatures ranging from -20 to 50 °C. It is powered via a standard DC input, which requires a nearby mains socket, as the device does not support Power over Ethernet. Integrated mounts allow for installation on ceilings, walls, or desks. The camera uses motion detection to classify humans and vehicles, and it can detect specific sounds, such as a baby crying. Two-way audio is supported via a built-in microphone and speaker with active noise cancellation. The device is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.
