The Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS 4 (Black) is a desktop network storage device for centralized data management and file sharing. It features four drive bays that accommodate both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDDs or SSDs. Two additional M.2 NVMe slots allow for SSD caching to improve data access speeds and system responsiveness. The unit is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 processor and has 4 GB of RAM to maintain performance during multi-user access. A 2.5 GbE port provides transfer rates of up to 2500 Mbit/s on compatible local networks.

The device supports RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10 for data redundancy. Snapshot technology allows for the restoration of specific data states to recover from accidental deletions or modifications. Backup functions include synchronization with remote UNAS units, CIFS servers, and cloud platforms like Google Drive or OneDrive. A front-mounted 1.47-inch LCM display provides real-time system status updates. The device uses an external power adapter and supports NFS and SMB protocols for compatibility with a wide range of local network clients and operating systems.
