The Motorola PIP12 is an audio-only baby monitor designed for local use without a Wi-Fi connection. It offers a range of up to 450 metres, allowing caregivers to move around the home while staying connected. The system uses a dedicated parent unit, so no smartphone is required. With a battery life of up to 10 hours, the monitor can operate through the night. Magnetic points allow the units to snap together for compact storage. As it lacks a camera, the system is dedicated entirely to sound monitoring.

Both units are battery-operated and include rechargeable cells. Integrated speakers and microphones enable two-way communication, and LED indicators provide visual feedback on noise levels. The volume can be adjusted across five levels to suit the environment. For added security, an automatic out-of-range warning notifies the user if the connection is lost.
