The TP-Link Deco BE22 mesh system utilizes the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard to provide a maximum combined throughput of 3600 Mbit/s. This dual-band router delivers data transfer rates of up to 2882 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz frequency and 688 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz frequency, using 4K-QAM modulation for improved spectral efficiency. The system integrates intelligent mesh technology to maintain a consistent network identity across nodes and facilitates transitions with AI-driven roaming. It features four internal antennas and supports MU-MIMO and beamforming to manage connectivity for up to 150 devices.

Wired connectivity is provided by two Gigabit Ethernet ports that support WAN/LAN auto-sensing for flexible deployment. Security features include WPA3-Personal encryption, an integrated firewall, and parental controls with URL filtering and time limits. The system supports web-based management and Quality of Service (QoS) for traffic prioritization across the network. Networking capabilities include VPN support for OpenVPN, PPTP, and L2TP/IPSec protocols in both client and server modes.
