The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Max GL is an electric scooter designed for urban commuting and everyday travel. It covers daily routes with a maximum range of 60 km per charge. A 400 W rear-wheel brushless motor delivers standard output, peaking at 700 W for acceleration. This configuration enables a top speed of 25 km/h, and the drivetrain handles inclines of up to 22 percent. Three power modes let riders adjust output for different sections of their journey.

Constructed from high-strength carbon steel, the scooter weighs 22.3 kg and folds for storage. Front and rear suspension with shock absorbers work together with 10-inch tubeless tyres to manage road imperfections. Stopping relies on a front drum brake and a rear electric brake, aided by regenerative braking and traction control. An integrated LED display shows ride metrics, while Bluetooth connects to the Xiaomi app on Android and iOS. Front headlights and a rear tail light improve visibility. The frame supports riders up to 120 kg and fits individuals aged 16 and over between 1.2 and 2 metres tall.
