DJI Zenmuse L3 (EU) SP Plus Long-Range LiDAR System

The DJI Zenmuse L3 (EU) SP Plus Long-Range LiDAR System is an aerial LiDAR and mapping payload for the DJI Matrice 400 enterprise drone. Its 1535 nm LiDAR sensor has a maximum operating distance of 950 m under the specified reflectivity conditions. The system combines LiDAR capture with dual RGB mapping cameras and high-precision positioning for coordinated spatial and image data. Its stated purpose covers aerial surveying, mapping, photogrammetry and inspection rather than general-purpose photography. Suitable applications include terrain and forestry analysis, 3D reconstruction, infrastructure inspection, mining, construction monitoring and urban structural surveys.

At 1,600 g, the payload adds a defined load that should be accounted for during aircraft and mission planning. The housing measures 192 mm wide, 202 mm high and 162 mm deep. A DJI SkyPort single-gimbal connector provides the mechanical and data interface to the aircraft. Power comes from the compatible DJI drone, so the payload does not use a separate onboard battery. Its stated operating temperature range is −20 to 50 °C, covering a broad range of field conditions.
