The Aerocool PGS Rave 3 air cooler is engineered to manage thermal loads up to 130W TDP. Heat transfer relies on an aluminum base plate coupled with three 6 mm diameter heat pipes that distribute thermal energy throughout the heatsink fin array. This architecture is intended to provide stable operating temperatures for current-generation mainstream desktop processors under typical load conditions. The overall unit height of 135 mm ensures compatibility with many standard mid-tower chassis configurations.

Thermal management is maintained by a single 120 mm cooling fan mounted to the aluminum heatsink. This fan supports Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control via a 4-pin connection, allowing rotational speeds to adjust dynamically between 900 and 1800 RPM. At maximum operational speed, the fan generates an airflow of 58 CFM while limiting acoustic output to 27 dB. The integrated hydraulic bearing system contributes to long-term operational reliability, rated for 60,000 hours MTBF.
