The Soundmaster NR961 is a tabletop stereo radio featuring a wood-finished casing. It receives both digital DAB+ and analogue FM broadcasts. A digital tuner allows for precise station selection, while Radio Data System (RDS) support provides text information for compatible FM channels. Users can store up to 20 preset stations for quick access. Two built-in speakers provide a total output of 4 W RMS, and an integrated equalizer allows you to adjust the sound to your preference.

The device includes a top-loading CD player that reads CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 discs. A USB Type-A port allows for playback from external storage devices. Bluetooth connectivity is available with a range of approximately 10 metres. The unit also includes an LCD clock with an alarm, a snooze function, and a sleep timer to switch the radio off automatically. For wired connections, the radio features a 3.5 mm headphone output and an AUX-in jack. You can manage operations via the controls on the unit or the included remote.
