The Soundmaster RCD1870SW is a portable boombox featuring a CD player, a radio, and a USB port. It supports standard CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, as well as MP3 playback from both discs and USB storage devices. Two integrated speakers provide a total RMS output of 4 W. The built-in tuner receives both DAB+ and FM broadcasts, allowing for precise station selection.

Measuring 320 mm wide, 212 mm high, and 65 mm deep, the device is suitable for both stationary and mobile use. It runs on an AC/DC mains adapter or four LR14/C batteries for cordless operation. An auxiliary input and a USB port allow for the connection of external audio sources and flash drives, while a 3.5 mm headphone jack is provided for private listening. With its built-in sleep timer and alarm clock, the unit works well as a bedside radio. The slim 65 mm depth allows it to sit on narrow shelves or windowsills without protruding.
