The Linksys Velop Micro 6 is a dual-band mesh system using the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard to achieve a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 3000 Mbit/s. This throughput is distributed as up to 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz frequency and 2402 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. The two-unit system covers up to 185 m² and supports a capacity of up to 100 simultaneous devices. Integrated MU-MIMO and beamforming technologies optimize signal distribution across the network area while Cognitive routing protocols manage traffic efficiency.

Hardware connectivity consists of four Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports for wired devices, supporting 1000 Mbit/s data rates for WAN and LAN roles. Security is managed through WPA2-Personal and WPA3-Personal encryption, a built-in firewall, and VPN pass-through for IPSec, PPTP, and L2TP protocols. Management features include Quality of Service (QoS), guest access, and parental controls with URL filtering and scheduling. Each node uses internal antennas and a plastic desktop housing designed for stable placement.
