The Linksys Velop Pro 7 MBE7001 is a tri-band mesh router that utilizes the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequencies. This device supports a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 19000 Mbit/s, delivering up to 600 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band, 4400 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band, and 4080 Mbit/s on the 6 GHz band. It provides wireless coverage for areas up to 279 square meters and maintains connections for up to 200 devices. The inclusion of MU-MIMO, beamforming, and 4096 QAM modulation optimizes signal distribution and data efficiency throughout the mesh network.

Wired connectivity is facilitated by five RJ45 ports that support both 2.5-Gigabit and Gigabit Ethernet speeds. Security features include WPA2-Personal and WPA3-Personal encryption, an integrated firewall, and VPN support for IPSec, PPTP, and L2TP protocols. Network management is available through a web-based interface, providing access to Quality of Service settings, guest access, and parental control features such as scheduling.
