The ZYXEL XMG-105 is a 5-port 2.5G unmanaged desktop switch designed to expand wired network capacity. The device is plug-and-play and requires no configuration; it begins forwarding traffic as soon as cables are connected. It features five 2.5G RJ45 Ethernet ports, which are backward-compatible with 100 Mbps and 1000 Mbps links, automatically adjusting to the maximum speed of the connected hardware. An additional SFP slot is provided for fiber-optic uplinks.

The switch is housed in a grey metal chassis, which aids heat dissipation and ensures durability. Its fanless design allows for silent operation. Front-facing LED indicators display the status of the power supply, network links, and data activity.
