The Satechi Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock is a workstation expansion tool housed in an aluminum enclosure measuring 127 mm square and 52 mm in height. This device utilizes a Thunderbolt 5 interface to provide data transfer rates up to 80 Gbit/s, with support for up to 120 Gbit/s in specific asymmetrical bandwidth configurations. It functions as both a connectivity hub and a storage expansion solution via an integrated M.2 NVMe slot. The unit is designed for compatibility with macOS and Windows operating systems that support Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, or USB4 standards.

Internal storage capabilities include support for one M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD in various lengths, ranging from 2230 to 2280. For peripheral connectivity, the dock provides three Thunderbolt 5 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port for wired networking. The system includes an integrated card reader for UHS-II SD and microSD media alongside a 3.5mm audio jack. Power is supplied via an external 180W adapter, which enables 140W power delivery to a host laptop and 30W for downstream USB-C charging.
