The ASUS RT-AX50 Go (EU) is an AX1500 dual-band gigabit travel router designed to create secure Wi-Fi networks in temporary locations. Unlike models with integrated cellular modems, this router relies on a connected USB modem or smartphone tethering for 4G and 5G access. Users can also connect to a fixed broadband source. The device provides dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) signals, supporting a maximum wireless transfer rate of 1501 Mbit/s—1201 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. This throughput is sufficient for simultaneous video conferencing and media streaming while travelling.

As the unit lacks a built-in SIM card slot, it requires a tethered connection via its USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port or a wired internet source. The Gigabit Ethernet port can be configured for either WAN input or a local LAN connection. Signal distribution is managed by two internal antennas within the compact housing. The router has no internal battery and runs on external USB power. It is managed via a web interface, and local network traffic is secured using WPA2-Personal and WPA3-Personal encryption.
