The Microconnect MC-M.2-A+E-8111G PCIe M.2 A+E Gigabit Ethernet network card adds a dedicated wired networking interface to a PC. Designed to fit into a PCI Express M.2 A+E slot, the adapter provides an alternative for motherboards that usually use this space for wireless modules. It functions only as a wired device, omitting the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities typically associated with this form factor. This provides a stable connection, free from wireless interference.
The onboard Realtek RTL8111G chipset manages network traffic, providing reliable, hardware-based performance. The module is compatible with a wide range of industrial and consumer systems. It supports Windows versions from 7 to 11, as well as open-source platforms including FreeBSD and Linux kernels from version 3.x.
