The Microconnect PCIe x1 network card, based on the Intel 82573 controller, adds a wired Ethernet connection to a desktop PC. It installs into an available PCIe x1 motherboard slot and provides a single RJ45 port with a maximum data transfer rate of 1000 Mbit/s. This card provides a simple way to add wired connectivity to a workstation.
The card supports Windows 7, 8, 10, and Windows Server 2008 and 2012. It is also natively compatible with Linux kernels from version 2.6 onwards. The interface is backward compatible with 10 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s network infrastructure. This adapter is a wired-only device with no Wi-Fi functionality.
