The Zalman i3 NEO V2 is a midi-tower case constructed from a combination of steel, plastic, and a tempered glass side panel. It is designed to accommodate ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, providing a versatile chassis for various PC builds. The cooling system includes four pre-installed 120mm fixed RGB fans, with three at the front and one at the rear, to establish consistent airflow. The case also supports liquid cooling configurations, with mounting points for radiators up to 360mm at the front and top.

Internally, the i3 NEO V2 features seven expansion slots and a drive cage that supports both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch storage drives. Component compatibility includes clearance for CPU coolers up to 160mm in height and standard ATX power supplies with a maximum length of 210mm. To aid in system assembly and upkeep, the case incorporates features such as dedicated cable management routing and a removable dust filter located at the bottom of the chassis.

The front I/O panel provides access to one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, and a combination audio jack for headphones and a microphone. An integrated LED controller manages the ARGB illumination of the fans, which can be adjusted using a dedicated RGB control button on the panel. LED indicators for power and drive activity are also present.
