The Beurer LW 230 Air Washer is a dual-purpose appliance that humidifies and cleans the air in rooms up to 40 m². It uses cold evaporation to regulate humidity while removing airborne contaminants. Air is drawn over discs rotating in a water bath to trap particles such as house dust, pollen, and pet hair. Because it uses water as the primary cleaning medium, no additional filter mats are needed. The device consumes a maximum of 7 W, allowing for continuous operation to maintain air quality and reduce household odours.

The unit is operated via electronic controls and a blue-backlit LCD. It features three fan speeds to adjust airflow and noise levels. The 7.2-litre water tank allows for long periods of operation without frequent refilling. An auto-off feature switches the unit off when the tank is empty, and a Silvertex silver ion pad is included to inhibit bacterial and fungal growth in the water. The 6 kg unit also includes a timer for scheduled operation. The white casing is designed for easy assembly and cleaning.
