The Teltonika RUT906 is an industrial 4G LTE cellular router designed to provide WAN connectivity over mobile networks. It supports 4G LTE (Cat 4), 3G, and 2G standards, using dual-SIM architecture for automatic network redundancy. For local networking, the device features Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) and four Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbit/s) RJ45 ports. RS232 and RS485 serial interfaces enable direct communication with industrial automation equipment and sensors. The unit operates on a 9 to 30 V DC input and has a maximum power consumption of 2 W.

Housed in an IP30-rated aluminium chassis, the router is designed for deployment in remote environments. It mounts directly onto a standard DIN rail for installation within equipment cabinets and control panels. The device runs on the RutOS operating system, which provides both web-based local configuration and centralised cloud management. Security options include a built-in firewall, VLAN support, MAC address filtering, and Network Address Translation (NAT). Front-facing LED indicators show status updates for cellular, data, power, and system activity. The hardware also supports advanced traffic management via routing protocols including BGP, OSPF v2, and VRRP.
