DEWALT 18V XR Cordless Long-Neck Drywall Sander, Body Only is a battery-powered tool for sanding and smoothing plasterboard, walls and ceilings. Its long-neck format is intended for professional drywall finishing, renovation and surface preparation. Variable-speed control ranges from 700 to 1,200 RPM, allowing the sanding rate to be matched to the surface and finishing stage. Lower speeds give controlled finishing, while the upper setting increases coverage during broader preparation work. A brushless motor delivers consistent performance with reduced maintenance. Cordless operation also removes the need to manage a mains cable around walls or overhead areas.

Dust is managed through a ventilated sanding pad and an extraction port, which connects to compatible systems via the DEWALT AirLock interface. Suitable mesh sanding sheets allow the pad's ventilation to maintain extraction across the working area. A lock-on function enables continuous running during longer sanding sessions. This body-only package excludes the battery and charger, so compatible DEWALT 18V XR batteries and a charger are required. A carrying case and three sanding sheets are included.
