The BenQ LH860ST is a short-throw projector that utilizes DLP technology and a laser light source. It delivers a native 1920x1080 resolution with a brightness of 5000 ANSI lumens and a typical contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1. Its 0.5:1 throw ratio allows for placement close to the display surface, making it suitable for installations in confined spaces while minimizing onscreen shadows. The unit supports a native 16:9 aspect ratio and is compatible with 3D content.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0b ports, one DisplayPort, and two USB-A ports. Network integration is supported through an Ethernet LAN port and built-in Wi-Fi, allowing for remote management capabilities. For image alignment, the projector provides both horizontal and vertical keystone correction of up to ±30 degrees. It also supports High Dynamic Range content, including the HDR10 and HLG formats, for increased detail in bright and dark scenes.

The laser light source has a service life of up to 20,000 hours in normal mode, which can extend to 30,000 hours in economic mode. A sealed IP6X optical engine protects internal components from dust, which supports operational reliability over time.
