Thermal Grizzly Intel 1700 LT, CPU Contact Frame, Black

The Thermal Grizzly Intel 1700 CPU Contact Frame LT replaces a motherboard’s standard Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM). The frame is constructed from glass fiber-reinforced ABS plastic (15%). By redirecting the cooler’s mounting pressure from the centre of the processor to the edges, the frame helps reduce concavity in the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). Measuring 51 × 71 × 6 mm, it fits securely around the CPU socket to improve the contact surface between the processor and the heat sink.

The frame is compatible with Intel LGA1700 systems, supporting 12th, 13th, and 14th generation processors. Installing it requires the removal of the original ILM, which is simplified by the included tools. The package contains four 3/8-inch UNC pan-head screws, a 5/64-inch hex key, and a Torx T20 wrench. Note that this frame is not compatible with CPUs if the IHS has been ground down by more than 0.2 mm. It helps ensure consistent pressure distribution across the CPU surface for improved thermal stability.
