Makita BO001CGZ 40V XGT Cordless Random Orbital Sander 125 mm Body Only is a battery-powered tool for professional material removal, surface preparation and finishing. Its variable oscillation rate spans 6,000 to 10,000 OPM, allowing adjustment for different materials and finishing stages. The random orbital sander runs on Makita's 40 V XGT battery system instead of mains power. A brushless motor helps maintain consistent speed under load. Dust is managed through an extraction port, with a dust bag supplied for standalone collection. The 125 mm sanding plate uses hook-and-loop media for straightforward disc changes. A separate battery docking station connects by flexible cable and can be belt-worn, suspended overhead or placed on a bench. Moving the battery away from the handheld unit creates a low centre of gravity, while the sanding unit weighs 920 g.
