Makita BO006CGZ 40 V XGT Cordless Detail Sander, 100 x 150 mm, is a battery-powered detail sander for controlled surface preparation and finishing. It is intended for precision work on wood and other surfaces, particularly around edges and corners. The cordless detail sander operates from 6,000 to 10,000 oscillations per minute. The adjustable speed allows the sanding action to be matched to the material and the required finish. Lower settings support more controlled finishing where excessive material removal would be undesirable, while the upper end of the speed range is suited to faster stock removal during preparation work.

An integrated dust-extraction port collects debris through the supplied dust bag, helping to limit loose sanding dust around the work area. Its 100 x 150 mm delta-shaped plate is configured for detailed surfaces and for access close to corners. At 930 g, the cordless detail sander keeps the handheld section relatively light during extended tasks. The battery is positioned separately from the tool through a flexible connection, reducing the mass carried directly in the hand. Compatibility is limited to Makita's XGT battery platform. Neither a battery nor a charger is included, so both are required separately before use.
