This pan has no synthetic nonstick coating. Instead, the carbon steel surface is designed to be seasoned, darkening over time to develop a natural nonstick finish without the use of PTFE or PFOA. You must wash the pan by hand and dry it immediately, as it is not dishwasher-safe. A side handle helps you move the pan on the hob.
