Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier 8+ is a complete dry dog food formulated specifically for senior Yorkshire Terriers aged eight years and older. The primary protein source is dehydrated poultry protein, combined with corn flour and rice to provide a digestible base suited for mature small breeds. To accommodate the physical changes of aging dogs, the kibble is shaped and textured specifically for small jaws. This dry formula can also be rehydrated with water to create a softer texture, facilitating easier chewing and consumption for older pets.

The formula provides a sustained protein level alongside an adapted phosphorus content to support healthy kidney function in aging dogs. It contains an antioxidant complex, including lycopene from dried tomato pulp, to help maintain cellular health. To support skin vitality and maintain the breed's characteristic coat, the recipe incorporates essential fatty acids, supplemented with borage oil and biotin. Additionally, the inclusion of specific prebiotic fibers, such as fructo-oligosaccharides and manno-oligosaccharides, assists in maintaining healthy digestion and optimal intestinal transit.
