The battery lasts up to 32 hours in GPS mode and up to 18 days in standard smartwatch mode. Built for demanding environments, the watch has a fiber-reinforced polymer case and a chemically strengthened glass lens. Nighttime monitoring records sleep stages and heart rate variability (HRV) status to gauge recovery. Data syncing requires a Bluetooth connection to an iOS or Android smartphone running the Garmin Connect app, as the device does not have standalone Wi-Fi or cellular hardware. Paired devices send smart notifications and call alerts to the watch, though the lack of a built-in microphone means calls cannot be answered directly.
