The Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Beast (UDM-BEAST) Cloud Gateway is a rack-mountable device for centralized routing and security in multi-site or high-density networks. It is a wired-only system, featuring Ethernet RJ-45 and SFP+ WAN interfaces to connect local hardware to external providers. The system supports up to 25 Gbit/s to handle heavy traffic. Running UniFi OS, the unit manages routing between local and wide area networks. It uses a universal 100–240 V AC input, drawing up to 100 W under load; the device does not support Power over Ethernet.

The 1U chassis is built from aluminium and SGCC steel for installation in standard equipment racks. Administrators can configure the gateway through a web interface or remote cloud management platforms. Network traffic is managed via an integrated stateful firewall, deep packet inspection (DPI), and active intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Standard features include VLAN support, Quality of Service (QoS), port forwarding, and DMZ capabilities. A built-in display provides status updates, complemented by physical LED indicators for activity, errors, link status, and system readiness.
