The Samsung HW-Q990H/EN 11.1.4ch soundbar system serves as a self-contained alternative to a traditional home cinema receiver. Its 23 internal drivers provide front, side, and overhead audio coverage. This configuration delivers 11.1.4-channel sound for compatible media. The system decodes Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD soundtracks, while an active, wireless subwoofer handles low-frequency effects. Two wireless rear speakers manage surround channels behind the seating area.

Streaming is enabled via integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3. Support for Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, and Chromecast allows for direct audio streaming from mobile devices. The unit has a "Titan Black" finish. A "Night Mode" setting compresses the dynamic range to reduce volume spikes, while a dedicated "Game Mode" optimizes sound timing for gaming. The system is operated via the included remote control.
